FSI CHECKMATE CHALLENGE SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT

Please join us as we host our first chess tournament at the Franklin School of Innovation
REGISTRATION: 9:00 am – 9:45 am. (Anyone not checked in by 10:00 am will not be paired for the first round).
USCF MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED – Visit uschess.org to register or renew your membership.
ROUND TIMES: 10:00 11:00 1:00 2:00 Time Control: G/30 (30 min. each)
Players may choose to play 2, 3 or 4 rounds. Half point byes available for those players who need to miss the first, second or third rounds but no byes will be given for the fourth round. All byes need to be reserved in advance or by 10:00 am at the close of registration. Please indicate on the registration form below for which rounds the player will be registering. Pre registrations must be received no later than November 30th, 2019.
ENTRY FEE: $15.00 for 3 or 4 rounds –or- $12.00 for 2 rounds IF received on or before November 30th, 2019.
$18.00 for registration at the door for 3 or 4 rounds; $15.00 for 2 rounds.
$3 discount for siblings (i.e.: first child regular price and then discount for each added sibling)
4 Scholastic Sections (Swiss System):
K-3 (3rd grade and below), K-5 (5th grade and below), K-8 (8th grade and below)
K-12 (12th grade and below), K-8 may be paired with K-12 if necessary (3 Round Swiss System in case of a merger)
TROPHIES awarded to the top five individuals in sections K-3, K-5, K-8 and K-12. Awards ceremony is at approximately 3:30 pm.
